Cara Wolf
Board Member
Cara Wolf is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Professor for the University of Utah College of Nursing. She serves youth experiencing incarceration in a Salt Lake City detention center and provides comprehensive primary care in this setting. Her clinical interests include correctional health care, sexually transmitted infection screening and prevention, public health, and health care of the LGBTQIA+ population. In 2023, Cara earned the National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s Young Professional Award, as well as Sigma Theta Tau Gamma Rho’s Excellence in Practice Award. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Utah. She lives in Salt Lake City with her partner and dog, where they enjoy never-ending home improvement projects and mountain biking.
