In 2013 I was falsely arrested for a crime and my case went to trial, resulting in a dismissal with prejudice. The judge assured me that the arrest would be expunged from my record. However, I soon discovered that the arrest was still on my record and preventing me from securing employment. I know first hand how complicated, overwhelming and costly expungement can be.
